Each 18" soft-bodied doll is an American-made labor of love, incorporating a unique molded rubber
head with hand-painted features, soft rubber extremities and costumed in a rich array of fabrics
and wonderfully relevant accessories that describe his or her authenticity and relevance in time and place.

Although little is known about Simon Stock's early life, legend has it that the name Stock, meaning "tree trunk," derives from the fact that, beginning at age twelve, he lived as a hermit in a hollow tree trunk of an oak tree. Saint Simon Stock had a great devotion to Our Lady. The Virgin Mary appeared to him several times and gave him instructions for the devotion of the brown scapular.

Head, hands and feet are made of highly flexible urethane rubber that maintains a "skin like" feel.
Body is made from interlock fabric and filled with poly-fil stuffing.
